In past 2 months I've been to Grismer with late afternoon issues and left impressed and destressed both times. They are polite, professional and customer focused from the first inquiry call until you leave the lot. Time estimates for diagnosis and then fix were accurate and faster than I expected. Coupled the prompt service with reasonable pricing, and Grismer is a great value that I'll use again!

A low tire pressure warning was observed on one of our vehicles, but due to a recent illness, I am unable to drag or carry my small compressor to put air in the tires. I purchased the tires for the vehicle from Grismer so I called them to see if they could assist me. "No problem, just stop by and we will take care of it" was the answer I received. Stopped by earlier and was in and out with tires inflated in about three (3) minutes! Thank you to the Grismer staff on DY-S for exceeding my expectations.

Dear Grismer, I have been a long-time Goodyear customer but recently I have been disappointed with the level of service, turnover in personnel, prices and their strategy to pushing additional services especially when I sent my college age daughters in for oil changes and tire rotations. Recently I received a bid on new tires for my Suburban from Goodyear and decided to compare the price and find a repair shop with better service standards and ethics. I stopped by Grismer which was right down the street and another tire shop. By far Travis Mason the Store Manager was more personable, informative and helpful than the competition. He recommended a few tire choices based on my needs, applied the appropriate discounts and when I asked about the credit card displayed on the counter he quickly signed me up which generated a additional 5% discount. Even with the alignment Travis suggested and a tire protection plan I added my total cost at Grismer was less than the estimates for just tires at the two competitors. It's great that Grismer is a family business that has a long and rich history. Having grown up in a family business, I applaud and do my best to frequent and support local family businesses. I walked out of Grismer with a good deal and happy with the quality of service and products. I have already shared my experience with friends and neighbors. Grismer replaced Fuel Pump & Evap Purge Solenoid in Jul 2018 on my 2007 Buick LaCrosse. I drove the car to my daughter in Boston right after that. In Mar 2019 check engine light came on for my daughter. Local garage diagnosed a problem with Fuel Pump, Seal & Evap Cannister, & Purge Solenoid for $1300. It sounded odd to me, when the garage could not be certain what the problem with the codes that they found. I shared this with Mark Breining, when I returned home. He did not think their diagnosis was correct. Furthermore, Mark reviewed the Boston findings with his experienced technicians. They agreed with Mark's hunch that it was the Purge Solenoid for the error codes that the car was giving. I brought the car back in late June. One of Mark/s ASE technicians diagnosed the problem and found it was the Evap Purge Solenoid that was under warranty. By-the-way, the original cost at Grismer was under $300 for the Evap Purge Solenoid. Again, Mark and his team were there for me. I have shared with my children that all live far away from Dayton: "Find a garage like Grismers at South Patterson that you can trust and who stands by their work". 03 cavalier was misfiring. Took the car to grismer in Troy, got a call it was finished. Picked it up, seemed to be misfiring a little, then check engine light came on. I returned to the location, expressing my concerns about their work. They said they’d make it right at no extra cost. Turns out, first time they replaced an ignition “pack”. 2nd time they replaced the ignition “module”. That cures the problem. In the mean time, they also replaced a brake line at no extra cost. Bottom line, the first go around was expensive. I shared that with them. But they guarantee their work, which they did, and made it right and then some. Next time, and I just saw this feature on their website, I’ll get an estimate. Will I go back for future service? I may.
